Went out for a few hours on Sunday morning with my father in law. The weather was perfect and there was NO wind. You could actually stop the boat and only drift about 10 feet every 15 minutes. Nice.
We caught a few small LM bass, and landed a nice 3 to 4 pounder. Also my father in law, hooked a monster that doubled his pole over as it dove under the boat. After about a 1 minute fight, the line broke. That would have been a nice fish. The minnows were schooling everywhere and we would throw our minnows in the middle of them.
Also, had a bald eagle sit in a tree above us for about 5 minutes which was a real treat.
All in all, the fishing was great, the catching was slow.
